Color reproduction isn't 100% true. I'll make a note if it is horribly off.
Every image has a watermark to try to protect it from theft. ( Yes, it says Sabotage)
All work is unframed. Please contact me directly for payment options. asabo_56@yahoo.com and note the name of the piece in the message line so I don't think you're spam.
1. Salt Marshes
Watercolor on watercolor paper
8 1/2 x 11
$65
(This one's color is shifted a bit greeny)
This was inspired by the huge expanse of wetlands in South Jersey that you see as you come over the bridge on Rt 9 out of New Gretna toward Port Republic. If you're lucky, you'll see some blue herons wading thought the channels.

3. I Dreamt the Moon
Colored pencil on paper
9 x 12
SOLD
This was an illustration for a children's story that a friend was writing. Although he liked the work I did for him, he was told that he shouldn't submit it already illustrated because the publishers would probably want to use their own artist. I had already done quite a lot of work on it by the time he nixed the project.
4. Kansas
Oil on Masonite
18 x 24
$350
This was inspired by the great open spaces I saw on one of my cross country trips.
2. Windswept Wave
Watercolor on watercolor paper
9 x 11 1/2
$75
I have always been fascinated by the power of water. This one was also painted when I was living in NJ. Friends and family will recognize it as my 2005 Holiday card.

5. Henry's Boat
Watercolor
9 x 12
$100
A friend requested a painting based on an idea he had. This was the first version. He didn't like it because the boat had no oars. Not being a boat person, it had never occurred to me to include them.

6. Nightmare Nude
Pastel
18 x 24
$175
This was inspired by a dream, I think. It has a sense of hesitation before the escape, to me. Perhaps a touch too much hormonal angst in there.
I liked working in pastel. I could cover large areas with dense color. But after a few years I developed a serious cough, probably from the dust. And they are very hard to store. So I moved on to watercolor, a very different medium.

7. After the Picnic
Pen and Ink
81/2 x 11
$50
I did a series of pen and ink sketches that year. Some of them were quite whimsical.

8. Pond Study
Pastel
18 x 24
$175
I lived near a pond for awhile. The reflections of the trees on the water was always mesmerizing. I did a number of pastel paintings of the water when I lived there.

9. Sunset at Sea
Collage
9 x 12
$50
I enjoyed working in collage for awhile. No one else seemed to care for them, so I gave it up.
This was inspired in part from a trip to Bermuda. My first cruise. I was working as a travel agent and got a discount on the tickets.

10. November Afternoon
Watercolor
11 x 15
$115
The sky changes constantly. My mother used to sit on the porch will us kids and ask us what the clouds looked like. The subtle shading from deep blue to gold at sunset has always drawn me. Here's a humble attempt at portraying that.
