I am still being torn between 3 different stories right now. I think I may need to just work on all 3 at the same time. Usually, I can concentrate on just one, tucking away notes on other stories that occur to me along the way. This time all 3 of them are demanding to be front and center and I have to say it's very distracting.

Since working on 3 will affect my daily word count, I'm not sure how this is going to affect my release dates. I will keep things up to date on my sidebar here.

And keep writing as fast as I can.

A Change of Plans

Unfortunately, Atomacon has been canceled. The hotel was damaged by Hurricane Matthew. I was looking forward to my first time on the other side of a con, but alas, it is not to be. But since I already had plans to be in Charleston with friends, I will be visiting that lovely city anyway.

In conjunction with the convention, I had planned to put book 1 of both of my science fiction series on sale. So between 11/16 and 11/23 the ebooks for Lethal Seasons and Facade will be on sale at Amazon for 99 cents.

It Worked! Now What?

The third in a series magic must have worked for me because...the books are selling!

I feel like there's a party going on in the other room, but I'm not sure if I'm invited. Although I am super excited about the number of people reading the books. I'm not sure what I should be doing. Except maybe just writing.

On one hand, I am glad to put all my attention on writing. But on the other, I have a sinking feeling there is some special task that is now required that I don't know about. It's making me antsy. I keep checking the reports and checking the various forums I follow to see if there is a clue. When I should be focusing on the next book.

I am easily distracted. I find myself paging, paging, paging through Facebook looking for...haven't the foggiest. At my core, I am a planner. Give me some graph paper and a calendar and I'm a happy camper. But I don't know the next steps.

So I am just going to keep my head down and write.

What's Coming Up...

First of all, let me remind you that Gleanings is discounted to 99cents through October 25th. So grab your copy now!

I am going back to my Space Opera series to work on book 2, the sequel to Facade. I am shooting for a spring release on that. I've stolen big chunks of text from a previous incarnation that all need serious editing, so that might shorten the writing time. Or not. Depends on how much rewriting is needed.

As a complete departure, I am also working on some high fantasy. This is another story that's been kicking around the back of my brain forever. In fact, I think it's several stories. It might turn out to be a book for each character all in a shared world. But it's so old that I need to get to know the characters all over again.

I'm also playing around in a map-making site for the fantasy. It's a blast. I have been a cartophile my entire life. Being able to make one is frosting on the cake. For the moment, I am just using it for my own reference. When you invent a world, you have to know when everything is!

And I am also thinking about book 4 of A Changed World. Even while I'm working on other stories, thoughts creep in about Wisp and Tilly, Angus and Martin... I write them down and keep them in a folder until I'm ready to jump into that world again.

Now it's time to get back to writing!
